Achievement:
Surveyed, selected and enumerated 50 ha Seed Stands of Cedrusdeodara for their conversion into Seed Production Areas (SPAs) in the state of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu& Kashmir. Marking lists of the selected seed stands were submitted to SFD for executing culling operation. Selected 77 Plus Trees of the species. Genetic analysis of cone and seed characters revealed significant differences among the selected Plus Trees. Significant differences were also observed amongst the progenies of 52 families for germination, survival in the nursery and growth during initial period of their field planting during 2009.
