Achievement:
• Polyhouse of size 10x4 mts was designed and commissioned at Shillaru nursery (Flagship nursery of the Institute) during 2006-07. Rain water harvesting facilities and vermi-composting activities were commissioned at that nursery under this project. Produced around 30 Q Vermi-compost per annum during the project period and used the same for the production of QPM of Atish and Chora.
• The overall target for the production of 3.6 lacs Quality Planting Material (QPM) of Atish (Aconitum heterophyllum) and Chora (Angelica glauca) had been given by NMPB, New Delhi under this project which the Institute had successfully achieved by raising 3.60 lacs QPM of Atish and Chora in different nurseries of the institute.
• Under extension activities of the project, Institute has successfully organized four no. training and demonstration program and one no. training-cum-camp workshop during the entire project period. Two pamphlets and one booklet in simple Hindi on cultivation of Atish and Chora for the benefit of medicinal plants sector were complied, published and distributed among various stakeholders
